The St. Joseph Mustangs opened a short two game homestand against the Nevada Griffons with a 9-6 victory at Phil Welch Stadium on Friday night.  

There was no box score available for the game on the MINK League website.  Mustangs starting pitcher Landon Jaynes, who was the Mustangs Player of the Game, struck out a career high seven batters over five innings of work.  St. Joseph outhit the Griffons 12-5 with each team recording one error.  

The Mustangs are now 9-5 on the season and 7-4 in MINK League play with another matchup against Nevada on Saturday at 7pm.
