The St. Joseph Mustangs opened a short two game homestand against the Nevada Griffons with a 9-6 victory at Phil Welch Stadium on Friday night.&nbsp;&nbsp;

There was no box score available for the game on the MINK League website.&nbsp; Mustangs starting pitcher Landon Jaynes, who was the Mustangs Player of the Game, struck out a career high seven batters over five innings of work.&nbsp; St. Joseph outhit the Griffons 12-5 with each team recording one error.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Mustangs are now 9-5 on the season and 7-4 in MINK League play with another matchup against Nevada on Saturday at 7pm.&nbsp;&nbsp;
