A St. Joseph woman suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds during a dispute with her roommate.
The St. Joseph Police Department says officers responded to the 2600 block of Folsom Street around 7:30 Tuesday night. A woman, described to be in her early 20s, had suffered two stab wounds to her leg. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The woman’s roommate, a woman in her early 30s, was taken into custody without incident about a block from the scene. The suspect faces possible charges, but claims she acted in self-defense, according to police.
Police recovered a pocket knife believed to have been used in the stabbing.
