Laurence “Larry” Miskowic 1959 - 2023

Laurence “Larry” Miskowic, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. 

He was born September 18, 1959 in Leadville, Colorado to Gerald and Minerva (Luoma) Miskowic.

After he finished high school at age 17, Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy, then worked in numerous security positions.

Larry was a wannabe comedian, always telling jokes. A couple of his favorites were:

“What happens to Santa Claus when he gets old? He turns into Kris Krinkle.”

And, “I got my pumpkin to stop smoking – I put him on the pumpkin patch!”

He was outgoing and enjoyed telling stories of his “wandering years” traveling around the country.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his son, Jack; numerous friends, including Julie Tatro and her children, Andrew Tatro (Jana), Jennifer Kline (Courtney), Matthew Tatro (Katie), Emily Leroy (Kevin), and Julienne Tatro. Other friends included Karen Brushwood (Robert Hrabeck) and Larry’s “adopted” grandchildren, Vander, Harmonie, Camryn, Ava, Zain, Nolan and Jack.
