Susan Jean (Mihelic) Frank, 74, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born July 21, 1951, in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Susan lived a life defined by kindness, dedication, and a deep love for her family and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose warmth and compassion touched all who knew her.

For 43 years, Susan dedicated herself to teaching, shaping the lives of generations of students through her patience, encouragement, and love of learning. Teaching was more than a profession to her-it was truly her calling. She took great pride in helping young people grow, believe in themselves, and succeed.

Outside the classroom, Susan loved travel and adventure. She enjoyed exploring new places and cultures, and her curiosity about the world reflected the generous and adventurous spirit she shared with those around her. She also had a special love for animals and found great joy in caring for them throughout her life.

Susan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert, and her son, Chris, along with extended family and many friends who will remember her for her love, kindness, and gentle spirit.

Susan leaves behind a legacy of compassion, curiosity, and dedication. The lessons she taught-both in the classroom and through the way she lived her life-will continue to live on in the hearts of the many students, friends, and family members whose lives she touched.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 at Rupp Funeral Home.
