ATCHISON COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 7:30a.m. Tuesday in Atchison County.

At 7:30AM on Tuesday morning officers responded to a two vehicle accident in the 1300 block U.S. 59, according to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson.

A Subaru SUV driven by Kristie Atkisson, 46, St. Joseph Mo, was northbound on Ann Street and due to icy road conditions was unable to stop at U.S. 59.

The SUV struck an eastbound Ford truck driven by Hunter Wahwahsuck, 24, Atchison.&nbsp; EMS transported Wahwahsuck to Amberwell Hospital for examination.&nbsp; Police released no additional details.
