Mo. woman hospitalized after car rear-ends horse trailer

ANDREW COUNTY — A woman injured in an accident just before 10:30a.m. Saturday in Andrew County has died.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Chevy Impala driven by a 20-year-old Savannah woman was southbound on U.S. 71 at County Road 58 three miles north of Savannah.

The car rear-ended a 2019 Chevy Silverado pulling a gooseneck horse tailer driven by a 31-year-old Savannah man.  Andrew County EMS transported the woman to Mosaic Life Care where she died. She was  not wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol. The pickup driver was not injured.

The Patrol no longer releases the identity of accident victims.
