5 teens hospitalized after Andrew Co. 2-vehicle crash

ANDREW COUNTY — Five teens were injured in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Sunday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Ford passenger vehicle driven by Tomas R. Wade, 18, Savannah, was southbound on Route D three miles east of Savannah.

The driver failed to yield to a northbound 2007 Pontiac passenger vehicle driven by Rachel K. Corey, 18, St. Joseph, who was turning left. Both vehicles traveled off the east side of the road. 

Andrew County ambulance transported both drivers, a 13-year-old male passenger from Savannah in the Ford and a 17-year-old in the Pontiac to Mosaic Life Care.

Buchanan County ambulance transported 15-year-old female passenger in the Ford to Mosaic Life Care. All five were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
