Lillian Susan Scott, of Leavenworth, Kansas, died Monday, July 29, 2024, after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Lillian was born in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany, the daughter of Walter Parr and Inge Weckel Parr.

She emigrated to the United States with her parents when she was five years old and became a Naturalized US Citizen shortly thereafter. She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1966 and went to work at Hallmark Cards soon after. Her career at Hallmark lasted 36 years. She started out in Handwork, before becoming a Quality Inspector and eventually a Receiving Inspector. She finally retired in 2002 when her increasing disabilities made it difficult for her to continue working. She met her future husband, Gerald at work. They dated for a year and were engaged for a year before marrying on August 15th, 1969. He survives her of the home. They had two daughters, Aimee, in 1977 and Christina in 1982. They also survive her of the home.

She was an avid Chiefs fan and never missed a game if it was on TV. Her favorite players were Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. She was a major foodie. Before her disabilities made it difficult for her to leave home, she loved going to restaurants and eating out. She also loved animals, especially dogs, and was a regular contributor to the ASPCA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Mary Ann Parr.

In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her sister Lisa Allen and husband Tom of Leavenworth, and her brother Walt Parr of Lansing, and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 6th ,2024 from 5-7 pm at First Christian Church, 130 N. 6th street, Leavenworth, Kansas. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 at 11 am at the church. Burial will follow at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
