ANDREW COUNTY—A Missouri man was injured in an accident just before 10a.m. Tuesday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Chevy Cobalt driven by Ronald L. Mccart, 52, Kansas City, Mo., was northbound on Interstate 29 three miles north of St. Joseph.
The driver swerved to avoid another vehicle that had slowed due to a crash ahead. The Cobalt struck a 2019 Mazda 3 driven by Drake L. Summers, 24, Maryville, that was parked on the shoulder of the highway.
Andrew County EMS transported Mccart to Mosaic Life Care. Summers was not injured. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
