William Trae McGaughy, 31, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed Saturday, February 4, 2023.
He was born June 6, 1991 in St. Joseph to Arthur McGaughy, III and Judith (Goodwin) McGaughy. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Elwood, Kansas.
Trae loved to write music, draw and do anything related to art.
His family was most important to him and his children meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Pamela Winn; and great-grandparents, Beatrice and Otis Hays.
Survivors include his parents; children, William Trae McGaughy Jr. and Amiyah Ann McGaughy; siblings, Shannel Goodwin, Jeray McGaughy and Andrae McGaughy; fiancée, Lauryn Gilmore; paternal grandparents, Arthur William McGaughy II (Billie); maternal grandfather, Raymond Winn; uncle, Aaron McGaughy (Michelle); aunts, Makeshia Stone and Carrie Goodwin; niece, De’Aira Goodwin; nephew, Princeton Andrae McGaughy; other extended family members and friends.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 17, First Baptist Church, Elwood, Kansas. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
