Larry Butcher 1946 - 2024

Larry Butcher, 77, Camden Point, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024. 

He was born October 18, 1946 in St. Joseph to Clifford and Josephine (Lewis) Butcher.

Larry married Maria Sue Boffman on August 1, 1974. She preceded him in death in 2015.

He worked construction with his dad and brothers at Butcher and Sons, then drove a truck for Mid-Cities and Altec. He later was a proud business owner of USA Motors.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Larry enjoyed being outdoors. He had a tough, warrior spirit and a prankster’s heart.

Larry was the most dependable man you’d ever know, always helping others in need and looking out for everyone, reminding them to “be careful.”

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; his parents; and brothers, Larrell Butcher and Lonnie Butcher.

Survivors include his children, Cliff Butcher (Andria) and DeeAnna Kelley (Shawn); grandchildren, Molly Kelley and Alexsus Albin; great-grandchildren, Realinn and Lainey; and sisters, Linda Barker (Dick) and Lorraine Appleberry.
