The Albrecht Kemper Museum of Art is getting into the Halloween spirit hosting the annual Witches Tea near the end of the month at the art museum.
The popular event is held in two sessions on October 26th. Director Eric Fuson says the event is certainly up there as one of the more popular events at the museum and adds he doesn't know if he's been to an event or a costume party where so many people are dressed up.
"Generally, there might be one person that kind of didn't know when they came, but they said I'm not going to be caught like this next year," Fuson says on the KFEQmunnity show. "And it's pretty easy too, for the lunch seating a lot of people will grab a couple of friends, and they'll throw on their witch's hat and they're good to go, there is nothing like seeing that whole room stand up and do that witches dance though, it's a blast."
Sessions for the Witches Tea will be held at noon and at 6:30pm. There will be psychic readings, a gourmet meal, specialty cocktails, boutique shopping, and spooky entertainment. Tickets are available in a limited capacity.
"The lunch is $40 a person, and the dinner is $50 a person, it's being catered by Ugly Duck Catering," Director of Communications and Marketing Madison McKinley says. "Tickets are going fast, we're getting very close to being full,l but we do have availability still, we try to cut off reservations a week before the event just to give the catering enough time to prepare."
