2 injured after car travels off road, strikes embankment

CALDWELL COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Sunday in Caldwell County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Toyota Camry driven by Timothy F. Heaton, 63, Braymer, was westbound on U.S. 36 six miles east of Cameron.

The driver swerved to avoid another vehicle. The Camry traveled off the road and struck an embankment.

Caldwell County EMS transported to passengers Linda P. Heaton, 57 and William C. Heaton, 36, both of Braymer to Cameron Regional Medical Center. The driver was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
