A teenage Savannah boy died after the pick-up in which he was riding went off the road, hit a tree, and overturned, ejecting both him and the driver.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 17-year-old Brodee Becerra died at the scene, on County Road 333, half a mile south of Savannah.

The 16-year-old driver escaped without injury.

The patrol states the 16-year-old, who is not identified, was driving south on County Road 333 around 11:20 last night when the pick-up went off the west side of the road, hit a tree, and overturned, throwing both him and Brodee from the pick-up. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
