BUCHANAN COUNTY—A St. Joseph man was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Friday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Chevy 2500 driven by Jimmy D. Mason, 52, St. Joseph, was westbound on U.S. 36 two miles east of St. Joseph.
The pickup traveled off the north side of the road to avoid a slower moving vehicle. The pickup struck an embankment in the ditch.
Buchanan County EMS transported Mason to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
