Maysville, Missouri….Sharon Joeline Dodson, age 78, was born February 02, 1946, in North Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Perry and Hazel (Hensley) Thatcher and passed away Friday, March 8, 2024.Sharon worked many years as a dispatcher for Dekalb County, Clinton County, Cameron and Liberty Police Department. She had great artistic abilities as she loved to paint, was a published poet, and songwriter. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James W. Dodson; daughter, Melissa Ann Blevins-Allwood; brothers, George and Lonnie Thatcher; and sister, Anna Warner.
Survivors include daughter, Shanna Eggert (Mike); five grandchildren, Austin (Laura), Chris (Lindsay), Alex (Cara), Erin (AJ), Jordan; nine great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at her home in Maysville ~ 1211 S. Water Street. In case of inclement weather, the celebration of life will take place at the Dekalb Nutrition Center.
