For a 26th year, JoeTown 107.5's Gregg Lynn is asking the community to help make Christmas brighter for local children during the 26th Annual Christmas for Kids Toy Drive.
Beginning October 12th and running through November 20th, listeners can support the effort by donating spare change through the Christmas Coins for Kids campaign at participating sponsor locations throughout St. Joseph. Starting in November, community members can help by purchasing gifts from the wish lists posted on the Gregg Lynn Radio Show Facebook page and linked through JoeTown 107.5's website, donating new, unwrapped toys, or making a monetary contribution online or at the JoeTown 107.5 studios during regular business hours. Cash donations will be used to purchase additional gifts for local children.
Since launching the first toy drive in 2001, the Christmas for Kids Toy Drive has collected thousands of toys and tens of thousands of dollars to provide Christmas gifts for children who might otherwise go without. The annual toy drive will culminate with a live broadcast on Black Friday, Friday, November 27th, from 6am to 5pm on JoeTown 107.5. Broadcasting live from the JoeTown studios. Donations from this year's toy drive will benefit:
- Noyes Home for Children
- Children in the St. Joseph foster care program
- YWCA
- Adopt A Family Christmas Program
As part of the annual tradition, Gregg Lynn will also host a Christmas party on Thursday, December 3rd, for residents of the Noyes Home, children staying at the YWCA shelter, and children in foster care. The celebration will include pizza from Geneo's Pizza, music, cookies and a special visit from Santa Claus.
