Roland Royce Brees, age 93, passed away peacefully at the Pines Hiawatha Tuesday December 5th, 2023. Roland was born November 19th, 1930 in Clay Center, Kansas to Dudley and Florence Brees.
Roland married his 1st wife, Ruth Engle and had three children, Robert, Roger and Judy. Then in 1979 he married his 2nd wife Jerry Ann, they blended their families with her two daughters Robin and Mindy. Roland and Jerry celebrated 44 years of marriage.
Roland graduated from K-State University and spent 32 years of his career as an Electrical Engineer with Boeing in Wichita, Kansas.
Roland served as a SSGT in the Air Force from 1951-1955.
We have great memories of time spent with family and friends at their home on Council Grove Lake.
While living in Fairview Kansas he was very active in the American Legion and enjoyed working on his 52 Hudson.
Roland was preceded in death by his father Dudley, mother Florence, brother Waldo (Maureen), brother Dale (Pauline), grandson Shane and daughter Judy.
A private ceremony with family members will be held at a later date.
