Doyle Dean Groom
September 8, 1941 – April 30, 2024.
Stanberry, MO: Doyle Dean Groom, 82, Stanberry, MO passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Pine View Manor. He was born on September 8, 1941, on the family farm in Gentry County, Missouri the son of Marion and Verena (Boner) Groom.
On January 22, 1966, he married Judith (Judy) Ruoff in St. Joseph, MO. She survives of the home. They enjoyed vacationing in Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada in the summer and spending the winter in Alamo, Texas at Winter Ranch.
Doyle was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stanberry, a graduate of Stanberry High School, worked as a lifelong farmer, and served in the Air National Guard. He loved his family, John Deere tractors and the Saint Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry (Kirksville, MO). In addition to his wife, Doyle is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Donald) Burns, Maysville; Michelle (Robert) Crouch, Albany; and Rebecca (Jon) Angus, Union Star; 5 grandchildren, TJ (Alanna) Burns, Mitchell Burns (Kylee), Kathryn (Alex) Rivas, Thomas (Elizabeth) Crouch, Brock Angus; 5 great grandchildren, Malachi, Esly, & Amias Burns; Emmett & Eloise Rivas; with two more expected this month; sister-in-law, Joyce (Jimmy) Hansen, & numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, at 10:00 AM at Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry. Burial will follow in the High Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 2, from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pine View Manor in care of Roberson Funeral Home, PO Box 153, Stanberry, MO 64489.
