Mary K. (Ferguson) Trickett, 65, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 at her home. She was born November 2, 1957 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Barbara and Calvin Funk.
She graduated from Benton High School, class of 1976. She married Dennis Trickett on December 17, 1988 in St. Joseph . Mary was an avid collector of western memorabilia and enjoyed her movie collection, especially Yellowstone and going to swap meets. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the former King Hill United Methodist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by father, Calvin Richard Funk Sr., brothers, Ronnie Ray Ferguson, James Thomas Funk, grandson, Shawn, great-grandson, Kayden and nephew, Tommy Higdon.
Survivors include husband, Dennis Trickett of the home, her mother, Barbara Funk of St. Joseph, children, Bill (Cherry) Penland Jr., Barbara (Chris) Elrod, Priscilla Penland, John Penland, all of St. Joseph, sisters, Connie (Birt) Shirey and Roxanna (Bob) Kerns, both of St. Joseph, brother, C.R Funk of Deltona, FL, grandchildren, Ashley, Trinton, Jordan, Ariel, Dalton, Carson, Gavin, Jade, Gabe, great-grandchildren, Phynlee, Nevaeh, Kiya, Jameson and Palmer and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Will Purinton officiating. The Interment will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, near St. Joseph.
