A 25-year-old St. Joseph man has been stabbed and wounded after an altercation outside a St. Joseph convenience store turned violent.
St. Joseph police report Dallas Matson is in stable condition after undergoing surgery at Mosaic Life Care.
Police report Matson and a suspect, a 40-year-old St. Joseph man, confronted each other outside the Wood’s Mini Mart at 1334 Frederick Avenue around 11:30 last night. Police say the two argued and the suspect allegedly stabbed Matson, leaving a wound on his left side.
Officers arrested the suspect a couple of blocks from the convenience store. He did not resist arrest.
The investigation continues.
