A member of the Buchanan County Jail staff has been arrested, suspected of having had sex with an inmate.
Buchanan County Sheriff Bill Puett stated in a written release that his office received information of possible criminal behavior of a non-sworn member of the corrections staff.
The sheriff states that an investigation conducted by his office discovered that a detention deputy had allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a female inmate. Deputies placed the staff member under arrest. The case has been submitted to the Buchanan County Prosecutor’s Office.
