A 55-year-old woman died in a tree-cutting accident in Livingston County Saturday.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to a call shortly before noon Saturday in the 4000 block of Livingston County Road 424 and found a woman who had been struck by a falling tree. The investigation revealed the woman had been cutting down the tree with a chainsaw when it fell and struck her.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reports Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services responders took the woman to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe where she was pronounced dead.
The office reports Missouri Conservation Agent Caleb Pryor was the first emergency responder on the scene and assisted the Emergency Medical crew and Deputy Jennifer Plummer.
