COVID hospitalizations in St. Joseph spike

Mosaic Life Care reports a big spike in COVID-19 hospitalizations with 68 coronavirus patients now being treated in St. Joseph, up from 59 on Tuesday.

Mosaic also reports two COVID-19 patients are being treated at the Maryville hospital and one at the Albany hospital.

St. Joseph health officials report 82 new COVID-19 cases in Buchanan County, bringing the county total since the pandemic began to 2,933.

Buchanan County has recorded 35 deaths.

Mosaic has now tested 35,861 area residents with 2,770 testing positive. Mosaic is awaiting results from 330 tests.

Andrew County health officials report three new cases of coronavirus, bringing its total to 445. Andrew County has recorded three deaths.

Doniphan County, Kansas reports 120 cases of coronavirus.

Missouri health officials report a total of 134,583 COVID-19 cases, resulting in 2,200 deaths.

Kansas health officials reports a total of 62,708 cases with 706 deaths.
