Elaine (Chapman) Dunster, aged 75, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Born on April 15, 1949 in Salt Lake City, UT, Elaine was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, who cherished her family above all else.
Elaine graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She married the love of her life, Garry Dunster, on August 1, 1973, and together they raised a beautiful family. Elaine was passionate about home schooling, sewing, and gardening, and she had a deep love for learning and teaching.
Elaine was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she found great joy and community. She is survived by her husband, Garry Dunster, and their seven children: Jeffrey (Gracie) Dunster, Katy (Cullen) Williams, Randy (Shantelle) Dunster, Anthony (Jessica) Dunster, Emily (Casey) Porter, Kimberly Dunster, and Saralee Dunster. Elaine was also blessed with 15 granddaughters and 15 grandsons, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her two brothers, Doug and Mark Chapman, and three sisters, LaRue Howells, Jan Engle, and Arlene Bassett.
Elaine was preceded in death by her father, David Chapman, her mother, Fern Lillian Chapman, and her stepmother, June Chapman.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday November 30th, 2024 at the Bennett Lane Cemetery, located at 12938 Hurley Drive, Savannah, MO. A celebration of Elaine's life and a public live stream will follow at 1:30 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, #7 North Carriage Drive, St. Joseph, MO.
