Savannah man injured after he falls asleep, car lands in creek

ANDREW COUNTY—A Missouri man was injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Tuesday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Ford Escape driven by Calen L. Chappell, 40, Savannah, westbound on CR 191 one half mile east of Savannah.

The driver fell asleep. The car traveled down an embankment and into a creek. Andrew County EMS transported  Chappell to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
