HOLT COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 9a.m. Friday in Holt County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Nissan Rogue driven by Shanna M. Baumgart, 46, Belleville, IL., was northbound on Interstate 29 one mile south of Mound City.
The vehicle traveled off the west side of the road, struck the emergency crossover, became airborne, and overturned in the passing lane.
Atchison-Holt ambulance transported Baumgart and an 11-year-old passenger to Mosaic Life Care.
Baumgart was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
