Larry F. Berry, 83, Helena, Missouri, died Saturday, October 19, 2024, at his farm in Helena surrounded by his family.
He was born October 22, 1940 in McFall, Missouri, to Truman and Lennie (Davidson) Berry. He and his family later moved to St. Joseph, Missouri, in 1945.
Larry retired from Stetson Hat Factory in 2003 after 44 years of dedicated service.
In 1957, he married his sweetheart Dixie Gardner in St. Joseph, Mo. She survives of the home.
Larry spent much of his life fishing, hunting and trapping with friends and family. He was a dedicated Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan for many years. He enjoyed a home-cooked meal, took great pride in his perfectly kept garden, and loved his family.
Larry had a soft spot for all animals. In his memory, please do a kind act for an animal in your life.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Drexel, Paul, and Donnie; and two sons-in-law, Bruce Redmond and Danny Riggs.
He will be greatly missed by his two sons, Gene and Tyson (Jenifer); three daughters, Becky Riggs, Marie Redmond, and Rhonda (Bill) Barton; seven grandchildren, Kendra (Buddy) Osborn, Travis Riggs, Lennie (John) Jackson, Traci (Shane) Johnson, Crystal Hernandez, Lacey Redmond, and Mason Berry; great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Carsyn Osborn, Camden Smith, Kilan Johnson, Jagger and Johnie Jackson, Maverick Fitzpatrick and Dani Lynn Riggs.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 3:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
