CLINTON COUNTY—Two Missouri men died in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Wednesday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Ford passenger vehicle driven by Christopher C. McCubbin, 36, Polo, was eastbound on MO 116 two miles east of Lathrop.
The vehicle crossed the center of the road and struck a westbound 2017 Ford pickup driven by Lance M. Romig, 73, Kansas City, Mo., head-on.
McCubbin was pronounced dead at the scene. Tri-County EMS transported Romig and a passenger Cory H. Day, 74, Gladstone, to Liberty Hospital where Romig died. Day was not wearing a set belt, according to the MSHP.
