PLATTE COUNTY — Two people from St. Joseph were injured in a four vehicle accident just before 6p.m. Thursday in Platte County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Buick driven by Trasi L. Sorrells, 44, Kansas City, was southbound on Interstate 29 just south of Parvin Road.
The Buick rear-ended a 2014 Ford driven by Aaron M. McGaughy, 50, St. Joseph, in traffic congestion. A southbound 2009 Jeep driven by Chicka J. Ikwuwunna, 65, Kansas City then rear-ended the Buick. A 2010 Hyundai driven by Peggy L. Frerking, 77, Concordia, Mo., then rear-ended the Hyundai.
EMS transported McGaughy, a passenger in the Ford Dawn M, McGaughy, 48, St. Joseph, Sorrells and Frerking to North Kansas City Hospital. Ikwuwunna was not injured. All were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
