James "Mike" Conard Jr. 67, of Country Club, Missouri passed away Saturday June 15, 2024 at his home. He was born November 26, 1956 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He is the son of the late Phyllis & James Conard. He married Judy Kowalski-Cross on May 23, 2021 and she survives of the home.
He graduated from Benton High School, and Missouri Western State College with a degree in Political Science, and was a member of the TKE Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He worked as a fire service technician. Mike enjoyed live music, traveling, the outdoors, working on projects, and spending time with family and friends. He was a former member St. James Catholic Church. Mike was preceded to heaven by his parents.
He is survived wife Judy of the home, daughters, Brooke (Joe) Park, Basehor, KS, Nikki (Zach) Davis, and Kelce (Ryan) Hanna both of Savannah, MO, brothers, Galand (Jani) Conard, and Derek (Carol) Conard, a sister, Taira Conard (Paul Mitchell) four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mike was a great dad to his daughter Brooke and both Judy’s, Nikki and Kelce, a great brother and awesome friend. He loved adventures and exploring the universe, meeting interesting people and doing Mike things on Mike time.
While we lost our most beloved man, many have lost a friend that loved him. If anyone needed him for help, he’d be right there to help and supervise. There was so much more to him than just a husband, he was also a dad, colleague, coworker, friend, cousin, son, brother, uncle, stand-in figure to the fatherless, a great knowledge of music, the list goes on and on! He wishes that we laugh, reminisce, and smile together during this time when you think of him! And to always remember on his behalf, “Don’t be a BOB!”
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
