Richard L. Rainez Sr., 81, Cameron, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024.
He was born on September 24, 1942, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Edward and Leta (Silcott) Rainez.
In 1959, after graduating high school, Richard joined the US Army. He proudly served during the Vietnam war.
On February 12, 1960, he married Patricia Jean Babcock. For nearly 64 years, they shared many adventures together.
Richard worked as a working foreman for Carnation Pet Food for many years.
Richard loved to travel and ride motorcycles. He was known for tinkering and taking things apart, but not always putting them back together. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Leta Rainez, his brother, Charles Rainez, and his sister, Diane Carter.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Rainez; their children, Richard Rainez Jr. (Mary), Robyn Rainez, and Robert Rainez (Kelli); his sister, Debbie Piercy; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
