MERCER COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Saturday in Mercer County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Chevy Silverado driven by Darren G. Hamilton, 54, Bethany, was northbound on U.S. 65 one mile south of Princeton.
The driver fell asleep or had a medical issue. The pickup crossed the center line and off the road. It struck a culvert at the edge of a driveway and became airborne. The front of the pickup struck the ground and the vehicle rolled.
Mercer County EMS transported Hamilton and a 15-year-old female passenger to Wright Memorial Hospital. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
