North Central Missouri College has been awarded a $20,000 grant to support scholarships for student pursuing healthcare and committed to serving Missouri's rural areas.
Kristi Cutsinger, Director of Health Sciences at NCMC, said "This scholarship funding will support students pursuing careers in programs such as Medical Lab Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Respiratory Care while helping build a pipeline of skilled healthcare professionals who will make a meaningful difference in the communities they serve."
The funds come from Healthy Blue, a division of Blue Cross Blue Shield, and is part of larger endowments given to five community colleges in Missouri's Health Professionals Consortium. The other four are East Central College in Union, Moberly Area Community College, Three River Community College in Poplar Bluff, and State Fair Community College in Sedalia.
