Age 63 died peacefully surrounded by all her children and grandchildren on July 15, 2023, at KU Medical Center Kansas City, Kansas. She beat pancreatic cancer and was cancer free, but her liver started failing and started to have complications.
For the past year and a half, she fought courageously until the very end to stay with us, but God called her home.
Cindy was born on January 4, 1960, in Leavenworth Kansas to Mary Ellen Jones and Guss Jones. She was one of four children. She attended Lansing High School where she graduated the Class of 1978. Cindy was still working until the day she passed with the Leavenworth VA in the billing department. She was a very driven and hardworking person.
Cindy is survived by her 3 children: Lindsay and Partner Chris, Eli and Nataile, and their spouses Janey and Sean. 8 grandchildren: Gregory Tyler and Rileigh Cox, Gabe, Brenton, and Aaliyah Barker, Austin, Bryce, and Adam Zamora. 2 brothers Kevin and Greg Jones and 1 sister. Nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, and family members.
Cindy loved her children and grandchildren, that’s what her life was all about. She spent all her time going off doing something for them or with them. Theres not an event that she missed. She was always in the stands being their biggest cheerleader. She loved being a mom. She also loved making costumes and dresses for the kids she much she got into crocheting. She had a gift of art, crafts, you name it, she could do it.
Cindy had a bright, energetic personality and her face always told it all. She loved going with her cousin Sheila to the Cloud 9 Ranch. She always looked forward to spending that time with her best friend relaxing and getting away. She also loved animals. She recently got herself a new dachshund named Guss celebrating her remission. He followed her everywhere and loved helping with anything that showed up at her house. She touched so many lives and will truly be missed.
Family and Friends are invited to attend services on Thursday July 20,2023 at Davis Funeral Chapel. Visitation is from 11 am to 1 pm and the funeral service starts at 1 pm.
