DEKALB COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 10:30p.m. Tuesday in DeKalb County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Ford Fusion driven by a 41-year-old Gallatin woman was northbound on exit ramp 54 of Interstate 35. The driver swerved to miss a raccoon in the road, overcorrected and the car traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle skidded and struck a tree.
Cameron ambulance transported the driver to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
