ANDREW COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 12:30a.m. Friday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by Christina M. Venable, 41, King City, was southbound on U.S. 169 four miles north of St. Joseph.
The driver became distracted. The car traveled off the road, skidded down the embankment and overturned.
EMS transported Venable to Mosaic Life Care. A passenger 19-year-old Taylor I. Corbin of King City was not transported for treatment and will seek his own medical care.
Venable is also facing charges of driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the road involving a crash, not wearing a seat belt and for no insurance, according to the MSHP.
