Leah Vaughn Nicholas, 67, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025.
She was born April 9, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Gene and Jan (Todd) Strader.
Leah found joy in making jewelry, painting, and cooking - each a testament to her ability to transform raw materials into something extraordinary.
Her genuine interest in others, unfaltering support, and the warm embrace of her love were gifts she gave freely and often. It was in her nature to put a smile on everyone's face, lighting up a room with her presence and leaving a trail of happiness wherever she went.
Survivors include her children, Helen and Andrew Nicholas; grandchildren, Shaniya Smalls, Edwann Smalls, Arynn Villasenore, Landyn Nicholas, and Alivia Nicholas; sisters, Valerie Carrico and Suzanne Lines.
Leah will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
