Bette Jane (Price) Lampton, 100, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023.
She was born on December 17, 1922, to Edward and Faye (Glaze) Price in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She graduated from Central High School and retired from Ross Frazer Supply Company as a clerk. Bette was baptized at the First Christian Church in St. Joseph, and a longtime member. She was also a member of SEMO.
Bette was a talented artist, and enjoyed dancing, watercolor and oil paintings, and ceramics. She was an animal lover, and especially fond of her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Faye; husband, O.L. ”Bob” Lampton, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Survivors include her daughter, Robyn Modlin (Martin), son Craig P. Lampton (Kelly); grandchildren, Laura Bowling (Ryan), Grant Modlin (Chelsea), Cort Lampton (fiancée, Ashley Norton) and Paige Hancock (Josh); great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Benjamin, Meredith, Maverick and Brooks, and numerous extended family members.
The last six months of her life, Bette made many friends and received excellent care while living at Corby Place. The family wants to thank Corby Place and Traditions Hospice for their compassionate care.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.
