BUCHANAN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Friday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Kia Optima driven by Deborah L. Eaton, 44, Newton, MS, was northbound on Interstate 29 at U.S. 36. The Kia was slowing for traffic backing up from an earlier accident.
A white SUV rear-ended the Kia and fled the scene. Buchanan County EMS transported to Eaton to Mosaic Life Care. She was properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
