3 hospitalized after 3-vehicle rear-end crash

BUCHANAN COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just before 6a.m. Thursday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Acura MDX driven by Dana M. Holloday, 29, St. Joseph, was southbound on Interstate 29 five miles south of St. Joseph

The Acura rear-ended a 2005 Chevy Malibu driven by Sierra M. Maul, 27, St. Joseph, who had  slowed to turn into the emergency crossover.

A southbound 2010 Chevy Impala driven by William C. Gillenwater, 33, Savannah, rear-ended the Malibu.

Buchanan County EMS transported Holladay, Gillenwater and a passenger in the Malibu Anthony A. Foster, 58, St. Joseph, to Mosaic Life Care. Maul was not injured. All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the  MSHP.
