Richard Keith Edwards, 82, Erie, Kansas; formerly of Fillmore, Missouri; passed away, Saturday, November 25, 2023.
Keith was born on August 10, 1941 in Fillmore, Missouri; to the late Charles and Imo (Lance) Edwards. He was a graduate of Fillmore High School.
Mr. Edwards served his country in the Air National Guard from 1960-1966.
In addition to being a lifelong farmer, Keith retired from Allen County Road and Bridge as a heavy equipment operator.
Keith’s hobbies included farming on the family farm and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Keith married Nancy Jane Edwards on February 14, 1995 and celebrated twenty-eight years together. Keith had previously married Ramona Hughes, and from that union had four children.
Keith is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; daughter, Tanya Edwards; son, Richard Edwards (Jennifer); daughter, Ginger Mason (Dan); step-son, Loren Lance (Regina); step-daughter, Nyla Wright; grandchildren, Zack Wright (Teresa), Jacob Grubb (Chauncey), Robert Tyler Cheek (Kassie), Cody Edwards (Maggie), Wyatt Mason (Sarah), Kensey Dyer (Zach), Conner Mason, Emma Mason; step-grandchildren, Korenne Wolken, Lydia Gable and Rebecca Smith; ten great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-granddaughter; sister, Charlynn Edwards and dog/son, Buster.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his daughter, Tamey Grubb and brother, Gary Edwards.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Rosendale Christian Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Mr. Edwards will be cremated following the service under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel. A Private Family Inurnment at Antioch Cemetery at a later date.
