NODAWAY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 10:30a.m. Tuesday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 GMC Sierra driven by Kyra J. Smith, 35, Clarinda, IA., was westbound on 110th Street five miles north of Elmo.
The pickup struck a 2017 Chryler Pacifica driven by Connie L. Marriott, 78, Clarinda, IA., that was southbound on Canyon Road.
The Pacific entered the intersection before the GMC and both driver tried to stop.
EMS transported Marriott to Mosaic in Maryville. Smith was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
