Brenda K. Atkins, 59, St. Joseph, MO passed away Saturday August 30, 2025 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, MO. She was born November 9, 1965 to Gary & Patricia (Karr) Atkins. She married Jennifer Weatherford on June 18, 1999 and she survives of the home.
Brenda had a variety of experience in the medical field including working in Savannah and Trenton as a paramedic, physical therapy at Heartland Hospital and in medical accounting.
Brenda enjoyed several hobbies including cooking, horses, watching westerns, Indiana Fever Basketball, Kansas City Chiefs football and Kansas City Royals baseball. Most importantly Brenda enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She deeply cared for others and was always willing to give a lending hand where needed.
Brenda is survived by her wife Jennifer; mother, Patty Atkins; son, Eric (Angie) Wiley of Temple, TX; siblings, Tammy (Carey) Williams, Bart (Alma) Atkins both of Savannah; niece, Cara (Jamie) Damgar, great-nieces Macey and Rylan Damgar of Savannah; grandchildren, Ladedin Wiley, Camren Wiley, Alayna Wiley and Eric Wiley Jr; and her two fur babies Zoey and Bandit. Memorial contributions can be made to Rosendale Christian Church, Rosendale, MO. or Friends of the St. Joseph Animal Shelter.
Celebration of Life will be 10:00am, Wednesday September 3, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. Visitation and family receiving hours will be 5:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home, Savannah. Burial will follow at Bennett Lane Cemetery, Savannah, MO.
