Doris Evalene Piveral, 86, Maryville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
She was born July 11, 1937 in Jane Lew, West Virginia to Samuel and Nora (Curry) Morrison.
Doris grew up in West Virginia and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school. She proudly served her country and was able to complete two years of college.
After raising her family, she earned her CNA certification and worked in various nursing homes, retiring in her 70s. She loved her residents like family.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and enjoyed tending to her flower garden. She was a gregarious, joyful person who was very outspoken with no filter. You always knew where you stood with her.
Doris was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald Pitts; grandson, Aaron Claycomb; and 10 siblings.
Survivors include her loving partner, Bill Goeken; her children, Rose Ann Walker, Samuel Pitts, Richard Pitts (Brenda), Tammy Nelson (Rick Mills), Tracy Kish (Rob), and John Pitts; an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen “Ruby”; numerous other extended family members and friends; and her beloved dogs, Scooter and Midget.
