Shirley Jean Taylor, 91, of Weston, Missouri passed peacefully on August 5th, 2024, at North Kansas City Hospital. Mrs. Taylor was born in Orrick, Missouri and married James R Taylor on April 11th, 1951.
They moved to Weston, Missouri in 1955. She was employed several years as a PBX operator at the Marriott hotel at the KCI airport. She loved spending time in the garden, quilting, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, James R Taylor, her parents; Edger and Ethel Dorton and her brother John Ed Dorton.
She is survived by her brother, Tom Dorton, her sister Linda Enderson, her children; Sam Taylor, Bill {Nan} Taylor and Betty Taylor, grandchildren Mackenzie Taylor Schrick, Whitney Taylor Roark, Mariah Taylor, Kara Taylor, Krista Traylor and three great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at the Graceland Cemetery, Weston, Missouri, on Saturday August 10th , 2024 at 10:30 am.
