ANDREW COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Friday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Chevy S10 driven by a 17-year-old St. Joseph boy was northbound on Interstate 29 in a lane adjacent to another pickup in the passing lane.
A motorcycle passed between the vehicles at a high rate of speed.
The teen driver steered away from the motorcycle and traveled off the east side of the road. The pickup struck a drainage culvert, an unknown number of trees and overturned.
Andrew County EMS transported the teen to Mosaic Life Care. He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The patrol was able to identify the motorcycle rider involved.
