Sandra Shell, 79, St. Joseph, MO, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sandra was born on September 14, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Rodney and Jane Shell. She was a 1962 graduate of Lafayette High School.
From the age of 16, Sandra had a love for hair styling and beauty work. She would go on to own and operate numerous beauty shops in addition to teaching classes in the profession.
Sandra enjoyed playing bingo and trips to the casino. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and her favorite activities included spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her daughter Heather McDaniel (Bob Waters), her son Jason McDaniel (Michelle Clements), grandsons Cameron McDaniel (Jade Hossfeld) and Alex McDaniel, great-grandsons Ryder McDaniel and Colson McDaniel, her brother Jerry McVey, and her sister Alana Kilgore Hundley.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Sam.
Ms. Shell has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
