Milton Michael “Mike” Pottratz, 79, passed away December 27, 2024. He was born November 21, 1945 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Milton and Nadine (Teaford) Pottratz.
He graduated from Union Star R-II High School in 1964. Michael and Betty Ann Ebersold were united in marriage November 1, 1970, To this union three sons were born.
He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Mike worked as a towboat deck hand on a Mississippi river barge, owned his own company of home building and remodeling, owned a gun and pawn shop in Warsaw, Missouri, retired in 2011 when he moved to Amity, Missouri. Mike and Betty moved to Broomfield, Colorado in September of 2021 to be close to their three sons and families.
He was a member of the Orchid Christian Church, Amity, Missouri.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Brian (Shannon), Scott (Karen), and Corey (Autumn); grandchildren, Megan, Braedan, Kayleann, and Khloe; sister, Christi (David) Lewis; brothers, Greg (Sharon) Pottratz, Curtis Pottratz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service with full military honors will be at 3:00 pm, on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Union Star, Missouri. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Oak Grove Cemetery.
