DAVIESS COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after noon Monday in Daviess County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer driven by Jason E. Benedict, 37, Gallatin, was westbound on MO 6 two miles west of Altamont.
The driver attempted to avoid a crash ahead, crossed into eastbound traffic and stuck a 2019 Ford Ranger driven by Tina M. Danner, 50, Lathrop.
After the crash the Ford traveled off the road, into a ditch and struck some trees. Daviess County EMS transported Danner to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Benedict was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
